The problem
Starting a project costs more time than money
Almost every project needs the same things today: somewhere to deploy, a database, authentication, email delivery, some way to know when things break and, increasingly, access to a language model. All of it exists for free, but scattered across dozens of pricing pages that change every quarter.
This directory gathers those pieces in one place, with each plan’s concrete limit next to its name, so the decision takes two minutes instead of two afternoons.
Inclusion criteria
What a service has to meet

A permanent free plan
No two-week trials in disguise. The plan has to still be there next month and let you build something that actually works.

Limits spelled out
If a provider hides its free quota behind a sales call, it does not get in. Every entry sums up the concrete limits in units you can understand.
- 03
A living, maintained service
Up-to-date documentation, recent changes and a community or a team behind it. An abandoned service is technical debt from the first commit.
- 04
A reasonable way out
You can export your data and the jump to a paid plan is proportional. An open source, self-hostable version counts for extra.

Practising what it preaches
The site itself is an example of what you can put together without paying anything: it compiles to static HTML and can be hosted on any of the platforms in the Hosting & Deploy category at no cost.

Who is behind this
tabteca is a product of BigBoc, a software studio working across Colombia and Latin America with React, Next.js, Node.js and artificial intelligence. The directory started life as an internal list of services with a free plan that we used on client projects.
